I Wanna Be Mummified...
Tuesday, August 5, 2008

Yo peeps!

Man, working at Baskin Robbins can be so darn tiring! It's so exhausting, especially when you're the one making waffles every single morning! Haha...And imagine if someone orders 5 Waffle Berry Sundaes! Seriously, I'm only working for my second week now and I'm already having to force myself to get my job done...Honestly, I have a new found respect for those working in such outlets - I feel your pain, people! Haha...Though truth be told, time does fly pretty quickly...

Andrew dropped by last Saturday...His visit wasn't expected - he had done me a favour, getting me a thumbdrive from the PC Fair at PWTC but I didn't know he would be coming over on the same day to pass it to me...Anyway, thanks for the help, "kai macha"! Haha...They were barely introduced, but Andrew was already into his game of cracking jokes or asking "smart" questions with the assistant manager of the
outlet...Guess what he asked?

"How many percent of alcohol is in the Rum Raisin flavoured ice cream?"

Haha...Anyway, thanks again for the help with the thumbdrive...Don't expect me to say "I owe you one" though...Haha...

And I had more surprise visitors! Coincidentally I decided to work overtime on Sunday so I was still around until 9pm, when I actually should have left at 5.30pm...And here I was doing my work when I saw two "customers" approaching...I had already said "Yes sir, how can I - " before I realised it was actually Kien Loon and Su Ching! Haha...Damn that was another unforeseen surprise...But those two didn't buy anything! But I can't blame them, I guess...We were running low on ice cream that day - most of the nice flavours had finished by then and we still hadn't received our new supplies...Though they still did their fair share of tasting the ice creams available...Haha...

And Natalie came by today with her friend, Mun...Made them an extra large Waffle Berry Sundae...Haha...The waffle bowl was so full of ice cream, pineapple toppings, bananas, whipping cream, nuts and a cherry! Hope you gals enjoyed it! Haha...Sorry we didn't have strawberry toppings...But we just received our supply later in the evening and it included strawberry toppings! Haha...

Too bad Hein Yew wasn't around today...The lil' fella's gotten himself quite sick so he took the day off...Hopefully you're up and about, bouncing around as usual, in no time...Haha...Meanwhile, lay off the computer games! Staring at the computer for hours isn't gonna do you any good at this point! Haha...

On another note though, watched "The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" last Friday with Hui Ling, Darwin and Hein Yew...Beware, spoilers ahead! Anyway, I went on that day hoping to watch a seriously cool flick but sadly, I was quite disappointed...Damn, "The Mummy Returns" was way better! Well, Maria Bello, who replaced Rachel Weisz as "Evelyn Carnahan-O'Connell" wasn't amazing but well, she wasn't too bad either...Though I definitely prefer Rachel Weisz! Luke Ford who acted as "Alex O'Connell" wasn't that good, and once again Jet Li seemed to have problems with talking properly...

But no, that wasn't it...It's just the story wasn't that good...And there wasn't much action...Well, there was, but just inadequate...I mean, the whole time, there were snippets here and there about how the resurrected Emperor has the ability to control the five elements, but from the way he was controlling them, it paled in comparison to the powers of the previous "mummy" in the first two "Mummy" movies - Imhotep...He could control the water and air, and the way he used his abilities was far more engaging to watch...The only thing the Emperor did with the fire element was he threw fireballs around and sliced off the head of Alex's traitorous professor, I think...The Emperor controlled the ice element by projecting sharp icicles from the ground and to slid off some ice to stop a group of bomb from detonating...If you had watched the previous "Mummy" movies, you would notice how much more impressive Imhotep looked...

Loved Michelle Yeoh and Brandon Fraser, though! I have always liked Michelle Yeoh - she's awesome, and in the movie, she looked pretty good for someone her age, especially with the kind of attire she was wearing...As expected, she died - for some reason, she ends up dead in so many of the movies she acts in...She was also murdered in "Sunshine" remember? Though in this movie she sacrificed herself to give others a chance to kill the Emperor...

And that's about it for now, I guess!

Adios!

P.S. I'm so tired that I'm ready to be mummified and re-awoken in some other time...Anyone knows any sorceress?

its not what you think.
