How are you guys doing? Hope the holidays - for those who ARE on a holiday! - are doing you some good and giving you the R & R you deserve and wanted so badly before this! Haha...
Anyway, last Tuesday, I headed over to Times Square to meet up with Hein Yew and Hui Ling...The plan was to scout around for shops or outlets that were hiring part-time workers and to also catch two movies - "Hellboy 2 : The Golden Army" and since me and Hein Yew had promised Hui Ling that we would accompany her to watch "The Dark Knight", we watched it again with her...Haha...
Let me talk about the movies...Well, I guess I don't really have much to add for "The Dark Knight" since I've said it all in my previous update but well I guess I could add the fact that Hein Yew found Maggie Gyllenhaal's facial features a close resemblance to that of a particular animal which I shall refrain from mentioning out of respect for Ms. Gyllenhaal, though I do agree with Hein Yew...Haha...I mean, I seriously do not know what is wrong with her but she undoubtedly has the weirdest facial expression, and it always makes her look bored, droopy and sleepy...
"Hellboy 2 : The Golden Army" on the other hand was pretty alright...Beware if you haven't watched the movie - spoilers ahead! Anyway, it did deliver the action it promised and it was a little funny watching Abe Sapien swoon over Princess Nuala...Haha...Too bad he was cheated out of his potential love...And the movie also made no doubts that there will be a third Hellboy movie since certain aspects of the story depicted possible future events - like Hellboy's twin children! Yeah, Liz is pregnant with twins...Although I don't really fancy the idea of seeing two young kids running around Hellboy - he just doesn't seem like the "father" material...I dunno, I suppose we'll see...The assistant Hellboy had in the first movie, Myers is no longer around but at a later part of the movie, a new addition to the team is made, and this guy was pretty funny and has cool abilities too...All in all, an enjoyable watch, though don't expect too much...
Anyway as for the job hunting, well, Hein Yew and I applied at Zen (Secret Recipe!), Coffee Bean and Baskin Robbins...We are still waiting for calls from Starbucks but something tells us that we won't be receiving any at all...Haha...Hopefully we'll get calls from any one of these three outlets at least...
So yeah, that's about it for now! Having a horrible sore throat now...Can barely talk without experiencing sharp pains in my throat...Actually I can barely talk! Haha...Hopefully I'll get better soon...
